President’s Run 2021 - Sunday 21 Feb - Coast to the Highlands

Welcome to 2021 and our first AROCA NSW Club run for the year!

As tradition demands, the first run of the year is the President’s choice and this year the focus of the tour will be the beautiful Kangaroo Valley. This is a “coast to the highlands” route which will have you and your Alfa touring some the most pleasurable roads and beautiful scenery accessible in a day’s drive from Sydney.

Please RSVP by February 19 via email or SMS with numbers attending. See contact details below. In compliance with the most recent Covid-19 restrictions, RSVP is essential and limited to 50 members. Should you need to drop out, please notify me ASAP so others on the reserve list can take your place.

Heathcote train station car park, Princes Hwy. Meet at 8:30am for a 9.00am departure.

Heading south via the old Princes Hwy, we take the scenic route via Bulli Tops, Dunmore, Jamberoo and Saddleback Mountain. Our first stop will be Gerringong for a comfort stop and morning tea. Then it’s onto Gerroa, Berry and into Kangaroo Valley for lunch. Lunch is available at your choice from the wide range of local offerings. After lunch we drive on to Fitzroy Falls, through Avoca and heading north back home via Bowral and Mittagong and join the Hume Hwy. The total run distance from Heathcote to Mittagong is approximately 195km and 3 hours of driving time excluding stops. Detailed handout route instructions will be provided on the day. All roads are sealed roads, perfectly suited to our classic and modern Alfas.

Given the fluid nature of the run, it is advised to BYO refreshments and to start the run with a full tank of fuel.

We look forward to having you with us on this year’s President’s Run, Sunday, February 21.
