Key facts
A rare, charming and increasingly sought-after classic Italian sports coupe.
This Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior combines Giorgetto Giugiaro-penned Bertone styling with
the marque's characterful twin-cam engine and delicate rear-wheel-drive handling balance.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0L-litre twin-cam inline-four, driving the rear wheels
through a five-speed manual transmission.
This Australian-delivered example was imported new from the factory to Queensland,
and has reportedly had four owners from new, including the seller, who has owned the car
for 12 years.
The odometer indicates 76,632 miles, though this is not warranted.
Build year: 1973
Currently registered as a historic vehicle with Alfa Club NSW
Equipment and features
The seller notes that the car is presented in a particularly desirable configuration,
featuring the single-headlight front-end design.
This GT 1600 Junior is finished in a timeless shade of Corso Red, over a black vinyl-trimmed
interior, punctuated by wood veneer and chrome trim.
It rides on a set of 14-inch steel wheels with chrome centre caps, fitted with Pirelli tyres.
Equipment includes push-out front and rear quarter light windows, Veglia Borletti gauges,
and basic heater and ventilation controls.
Accompanying the car are the original handbooks, some documentation,
receipts from the current ownership covering 2014 to 2026, and two keys.
Condition
Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
Specific notes from the seller include: a small paint touch-up has been carried
out on the left-hand rear guard. There are some chips and age-related wear on the
paintwork, along with some surface rust along the bodywork.
The front seats have been retrimmed, and the interior is reported to display
general light wear in line with age and mileage.
